Echoing traditional figurine forms and themes, porcelain pieces with gold lustre.  New use of unglazed porcelain with gold lustre has arisen from research and experimentation in preparation for the Newstead Abbey installation - the tradition of the figure, so often a young girl or beautiful woman, on display as an object, her place on a mantelpiece.  Perhaps the figures I make may not agree with that situation.  Much of the most recent work now uses this method - here are shown some of the pieces closest to this tradition
